ARE CHANEL WATCHES WATER RESISTANT?
All CHANEL Watches are water resistant to depths ranging from 30 to 300 meters. Water resistance is engraved on the back of the watch, indicating the resistance depth for each piece, e.g. 30 M.
To ensure continuous water resistance, we recommended that seals within each watch be replaced every two years from the date of first use. We also recommended checking the water resistance each year if the watch is often subjected to immersion in seawater or swimming pools.
For watches with a screw-down crown, please ensure the crown is fully sealed before it comes in contact with water, and never manipulate the crown underwater. If the crown is pulled out, water can seep into the case. If condensation forms inside the watch, then water has entered the watch and it must be checked immediately.
After each immersion in salt water, rinse the watch with fresh water. To ensure water resistance, be sure to screw the crown down completely after each manipulation.
For chronograph watches, do not start the chronograph function underwater as it may allow water to seep in through the push buttons.
A watch must never be worn in a sauna, Turkish bath, shower or bath as hot water may damage its water resistance seals.
