HOW LONG HAS CHANEL BEEN CREATING FINE JEWELRY?
The history of CHANEL Fine Jewelry began in 1932. At her private Faubourg Saint-Honoré mansion, Mademoiselle Chanel exhibited her first collection, "Bijoux de Diamants", built around the twin themes of the Comet and the Diamond.
In 1993, CHANEL Fine Jewelry released a new collection in homage to "Bijoux de Diamants" through reproductions and reinterpretations of original pieces from Mademoiselle’s first collection.
In 1997, the acquisition of one of the finest mansions in the Place Vendôme and the creation of the Watches & Fine Jewelry Boutique was the natural conclusion to the journey that led Mademoiselle Chanel from her Faubourg Saint-Honoré mansion to Rue Cambon, and later on to the Ritz.
This move also marked the appearance of CHANEL as one of the great names in fine jewelry. CHANEL Fine Jewelry demonstrates our coming of age through continually renewed creativity forged around the fundamental symbols of the universe of Mademoiselle Chanel.
In 2007, CHANEL took luxury to a new level. Behind the elegant facade designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart at 18 Place Vendôme, a new boutique now develops the major themes of CHANEL Fine Jewelry.
